Opening Plenary Panel – Social Justice in America: From Ferguson to Charleston, Where Do We Go From Here?

Opening Plenary Panel
Social Justice in America: From Ferguson to Charleston,
Where Do We Go From Here?

Leaders in social work education, practice, and policy will address the recent explosion of civil and human rights questions.  Nationally, we are in a period of enormous change including several historic Supreme Court decisions we haven’t seen the likes of since the 1960’s and maybe even the 1940’s.  A moderated discussion on ways we as forensic social workers can navigate our role as change agents to approach social justice advocacy with the same energy as our pioneers but acknowledge the influence of living in the 21st century media age.
